October 2011: 7th Warmest on Record in Grand Forks (1893-2011)

Knowing that October was much warmer than normal in Grand Forks, I conducted research to determine just how warm it was. Initially I was led to believe it was the warmest on record, with climate records going back to 1893. However it was not the warmest. Though it was the 7th warmest October on record and the warmest since 1973.
