Wow Reece....I must say that your predictions are interesting and bold. Only three wins for Miami and only 5 for Atlanta? Green Bay winning their division over da Bears??? New Orleans in the Super Bowl? Interesting and maybe slightly biased? I don't know, but I definitely disagree with most of the predictions. I think you have the top teams good, but the lower teams I think are way too low.

That was me above by the way, forgot my name.

Dallas! What!? Dallas!? I can't wait to see you explenation for this one. In THE toughest division with a new coach and a always disgruntled WR, no way. Romo is going to have a similar season to the past season of Roethlisberger. Also, it has been known that Glenn nor Owens have showed up to any of the OTA's. I really don't see them getting the bye. St. Louis at 10-6 is also bold. I don't really see anyone in the NFC that (on paper) is better then them. They will have a much better defense. Carriker WILL start and WILL make an impact. We'll see though. I WILL NOT make a Super Bowl prediction until after all pre-season games. Brian, BTW, I agree 100% with his standings for the Falcons...I do think you were a little tough on the Phins though. They will go 6-10. I will post my predictions for soon for season records like you did.

Brian,

They are bold indeed, but if we all thought alike, it would quickly become a boring conversation. I will say I am much more confident in my AFC predictions than my NFC predictions, due to greater parity in the NFC. My only bias was with Chicago's record, not Green Bay's. I think the Packers will go 9-7, but I swayed back and forth on the Bears record of either 9-7 or 10-6.

I was harsh on Miami, but I could not foresee them winning ANY games in their division. New Orleans seems to be the best team in the NFC...if Brees stays healthy.

Thanks for your comment.

Jon,

You are contradicting yourself. How can the NFC East be the toughest division when you and I have agreed since the end of last season that THE NFC WEST will be the toughest division next year? Dallas will improve because their defense will be much better. DeMarcus Ware will compete for NFC Defensive Player of the Year with 13-15 sacks. Romo will be fine because he has to prove he's not a douche bag and T.O. will be fine like he was early in his career as a 49'er, IF they win. And your new coach argument STINKS. Eric Mangini and Sean Payton were new coaches last year and their teams improved from 4-12 in 2005 to 10-6 in 2006 (Jets), and 6-10 in 2005 to 8-8 in 2006 (Rams), respectively. It is certainly not far-fetched to think Wade Phillips can improve the 9-7 Cowboys to 11-5.

Ok, my prediction for the Rams record is justified by our agreed belief (or so I thought) that the NFC West is the best division. A tough division does not translate into a team running away with the division with 12 wins. St. Louis may end up being the top team in the NFC. If I gave them one more win, they could potentially be a two seed, and probably a lock to make the NFC Championship. However they need to take care of business in the regular season first, and you should know better than anyone that they tend to underachieve at times during the regular season. Hence, their 8-8 record last year.

Take a look at their schedule. Outside their already tough division, they play home games against Carolina and Pittsburgh, and away games at Dallas, Baltimore, New Orleans, and Cincinnati. If they win 10 games with a seemingly very tough schedule, you should be satisfied and confident heading into the playoffs.

Thank you and goodnight.

NFC West is the most competative. Dallas will get swept by Philly and lose a game to Washington and New York. Your right, the Rams have underacheived in the past, but you have to remember that they were still trying to figure out what Linehan wanted and what kind of Offense they were. When they figured out that they would pound the ball, the Rams were unstoppable last year. Dallas is a decent team, but I think that they are a little old at the WR position and they have the most OVERRATED free saftey in the world. Roy Williams gives everything up deep. It'll be a fun year either way.

Jon,

Much better argument and I agree with you on a few points. I agree it will be fun to watch all of these NFC teams this year. Several teams, including Dallas and St. Louis, could finish anywhere between 7 and 12 wins for the season so who knows. I for one, HATE the Cowboys and hope they are not as good as I predicted.
