Halloween Rankings

Well I finally have indulged the J-Factor by bumping Michigan up to #2 this week for the first time. Overall the standings have shaken up a bit as we head into the heart of the college football season. Past Michigan's climb to #2, the next thing to stand out is the rankings of the teams playing in the game of the week. West Virginia is now #3 and Louisville is #4. This will go down as the game of the year...that is until #1 Ohio State and #2 Michigan face each other for the "national championship" later in November.

Here are the updated rankings, with further analysis below:

Teams on the rise: #24 Oregon State (+11), #33 Maryland (+6), #34 Washington State (+6), #35 TCU (+6), #41 Arizona State (+5), #42 Oklahoma State (+9)

Teams on the slide: #10 USC (-6), #23 Clemson (-15), #31 Nebraska (-10), #32 Miami (-6), #36 South Carolina (-6), #39 Georgia (-6), #43 Florida State (-7), #44 Wyoming (-10), #49 Washington (-5)

Game of the Week: #3 West Virginia @ #4 Louisville (set you VCR SpeedyDave!)

Other Games to Watch: #33 Maryland @ #23 Clemson, #27 Penn State @ #15 Wisconsin, #28 Missouri @ #31 Nebraska, #49 Washington @ #26 Oregon, #22 Tulsa @ #50 Houston, #14 LSU @ #8 Tennessee, #41 Arizona State @ #24 Oregon State, #42 Oklahoma State @ #5 Texas, #18 Oklahoma @ #21 Texas A&M

Upset Alert: #17 Boston College @ #29 Wake Forest, #9 Arkansas @ #36 South Carolina, #20 Virginia Tech @ #32 Miami (FL)
